Surf Chair Workstation

0Like many people, I spend many hours each day working in front of a computer monitor. My posture isn’t bad, and I take breaks every so often, but there is always room for improvement.
Originally designed for the Internet Collection competition at the Scandinavian Furniture Fair, the Surf Chair workstation by Kenneth Lylover won the title of “Best Product”. When you look at this chair, you can see just why.
It is ergonomically correct in so many ways. One of the issues with sitting long periods of time is the stress that is placed on the back as well as on other parts of the body. With the Surf Chair, this stress is alleviated. All aspects of the body are cushioned by strategically placed pillows.
The head rest is also at the correct angle to look upon an LCD monitor that hangs directly in front of the eyes. There is no need to move your neck to look at an improperly placed LCD that is either to high or to low.
The only issue I have with the Surf Chair is the keyboard. It appears that the keyboard will rest on the users lap. This of course is the norm for many people who do surf the net this way, but a nice added feature would have been a keyboard rest with wrist pads as the wrists are one of the most vulnerable areas of the body, prone to repetitive injuries such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
