Paris Fashion Week’s MVPs

While designers in Paris seem to be enduring dramatic moments at every turn, the models are holding Fashion Week together. Between Coco Rocha’s playful growls on the Thierry Muger runway to Crystal Renn’s first strut during the Fall 2011 season, we’re thrilled to report that models are the MVPs of not only the runways, but Paris Fashion Week as a whole.

Some may have been obsessing over the Lady Gaga walk at Mugler, but her appearance was nothing compared to Coco’s diva-licious takeover. After calling attention to the livestream and wishing for a walk off with Gaga, Coco held her own on the Mugler catwalk - turning it into a veritable stage for her acting antics.

Sasha Pivovarova has been noticeably absent from this season’s runways, drawing conclusions from her fans that she’d be skipping this Fashion Week entirely. But a renewed sense of hope flowed through the industry as soon as she made her first runway appearance of the season on the Balmain catwalk.

Likewise, Crystal limited her Fashion Week moments to events up until Paris, where she saved her first strut for Zac Posen! The much talked about beauty walked alongside Anna Cleveland, Carmen Kass, and Karlie Kloss as part of the designer’s showing in Paris - after ending his New York dedication as of last season. With a few days left of Paris Fashion Week, we’re counting on a continuation of stellar struts from the leading ladies.
