When Miley Cyrus signed up for an acoustic guitar in her video for her power ballad “The Climb“, fans already predicted that she might be attempting to take a new and fresh direction with her music taste. This time via People magazine, it is revealed that Miley is going to adopt Poison’s Bic-flicking ’80s stadium ballad, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”
Moreover, it was said that Miley even recorded her remake with the song writer himself, Bret Michaels, who is a frontman of Poison. Apparently Miley’s a big Poison fan, since a Poison gig in Nashville was her first concert experience, and according to a quote in People by Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus, “Every Rose” is one of the teen star’s “all-time favorite songs and she is really excited about cutting it.” But teen stars covering ’70s/’80s pop-rock hits is not a totally new phenomenon for sure.
